Steve Balmont

Steve is an experienced professional trustee with more than 25 years’ trustee experience, most recently acting as a professional trustee director since early 2000.  He joined BESTrustees in 2018 from another professional trustee company.

Steve has broad experience as trustee chairman or trustee of defined benefit, defined contribution and hybrid pension schemes, and of similar trust-based arrangements, of various sizes and complexity with assets under management of c£35million to more than c£6billion.

Steve has served on the Investment Governance Committee of a workplace pensions provider, has chaired investment, audit and administration sub-committees and taken leading roles on funding and special project working parties.

Steve is fully accredited as a professional trustee by the APPT and served as BESTrustees’ Company Secretary up to early 2024.
