Peter Redhead

Peter joined BESTrustees in 2024 having spent nearly 30 years at senior Board / senior management level in the pensions industry, including as CEO and Director of a leading Trustee company.

He was a Scheme Actuary for many years and also has led settlement, investment, and pensions administration businesses, so is very well placed to understand the risks and challenges facing trustees. His commercial experience includes M&A both as principal as well as adviser, settlement including where corporate activity dictated timetables, distressed sponsors including negotiating with tPR /PPF and managing financing complex negotiations with overseas parents.

Peter’s style is highly inclusive and he is equally at home leading, or being a part of, a team with a common purpose. He is keen to ensure longer term objectives are agreed so day to day decisions can be taken with these in mind.

In his spare time Peter is a keen, but deteriorating, endurance athlete. Injury means mountain marathons and ironmen are a thing of the past, but cycling has replaced this with the Race across America being the highlight to date. He is also a keen traveller to the more remote parts of the world on which, if encouraged, he can talk indefinitely!
