Pete Godding

Pete joined BESTrustees in 2011 having retired early the previous year as a Senior Partner at Mercer Limited where he was responsible for their Retirement, Risk and Finance (in the Southern Region of the UK) business with particular focus on risk control and mitigation. Pete also led a client portfolio of FTSE 100 organisations.

Pete’s consulting career spread over 35 years, in which time he consulted with both Corporate and Trustee clients on all aspects of design, financing and administration of their pension plans. His clients came from a range of sizes, degrees of maturity and industry sectors, including global businesses, UK plcs, private companies and management buy-outs.

Pete is Chairman of Meggitt Pension Plan, represents BESTrustees as sole trustee for the Victrex Pension Fund and the Sicame Pension Plan and is a board member of the Matheson & Co Group Pension Fund.

Pete is accredited as a professional trustee with the APPT, a Fellow of the Pensions Management Institute and an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute. Away from the office, Pete enjoys golf, skiing,and watching sport.
