Danny Vassiliades

Danny joined BESTrustees in 2026 after over 35 years as a Scheme Actuary, investment adviser and strategic adviser to UK defined benefit pension schemes of up to £5bn in assets.

Danny is a qualified actuary and investment adviser, who combines board-level decision-making, financial oversight, and stakeholder management expertise to deliver trusted guidance to clients.

Before joining BESTrustees, Danny spent 18 years as  Partner at XPS (formerly Punter Southall) where he was scheme actuary and corporate adviser, specialising in funding and investment advice, with an ability to navigate complex financial landscapes and provide strategic oversight. Danny brings a deep technical knowledge of funding strategies, investment principles, and risk management across both DB and DC schemes as well as excellent communication skills.

Danny Is highly organised, focused on delivery and relationships, and is able to challenge constructively from a position of knowledge whilst encouraging diverse perspectives. He has a proven ability to translate complex technical matters for diverse audiences, maintaining long-term consulting relationships built on trust and clarity and the ability to communicate clearly.

Based in the West Midlands, away from work, Danny is a keen hiker, with and without his dog, and enjoys gardening and improving his spoken Greek.
