Bob Hymas

Bob joined us in 2016 after several years as Chief Financial Officer at a multi-billion pound pension scheme. He has almost 30 years’ experience working with pension schemes.

A qualified accountant, Bob is a highly experienced pensions professional and trustee and is either the chair, co-trustee or sole trustee of a portfolio of eleven clients. His clients vary in size, but several have assets of less than £100million.

He values the broad range of experience and backgrounds of the boards he sits on and helps the governance process by guiding boards through complex issues. He also works collaboratively with sponsors and is highly experienced in negotiating funding arrangements where affordability is a critical issue. He is pragmatic and fair in these negotiations and makes a genuine effort to consider the issues from all angles.

Bob is a fully accredited member of the Association of Professional Pension Trustees and he has held a variety of voluntary roles within the pensions industry. He is the a past chairman of the Pensions Research Accountants Group and is currently chair of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales’ Pensions Sub-Committee.
