Andrew Cole

Andrew is a highly experienced DB and DC pension trustee with extensive experience in both senior pension and investment roles.

He has over 20 years knowledge and understanding serving as a professional trustee, company appointed trustee and member nominated trustee with a strong governance, investment and member focus.

He joined BESTrustees in 2019 after a 35-year global career in Financial Markets where he worked for both American and European Investment Banks holding various trading room roles, culminating in Global Head of Interest Rate and Structured Derivative Product Sales and Strategy. Andrew has extensive UK and International experience in the Pensions Industry, both from a Trustees perspective and from the ‘sell side’ where he was responsible for developing a number of innovative solutions.

He is an experienced Chair of Trustees and Chair of Investment and Risk Committees, with a current portfolio of seven schemes, four of which are Bank schemes.

Andrew is accredited as a professional trustee by the APPT. Outside of pensions, Andrew acts as a Non-Executive Director for an international bank and in his spare time enjoys cycling, having completed London to Paris 5 times, as well as skiing at a leisurely pace.
