BESTrustees has announced its second professional trustee recruit of 2025 – with the arrival of former Grant Thornton covenant advisory partner Paul Brice.
Paul joins BESTrustees after a prestigious career in Pensions, both in the Advisory side as a Partner at KPMG and Grant Thornton; and as an executive for nearly eight years for what is now Railpen, the Executive Company of the Railways Pension Scheme where he Chaired the Scheme’s Risk Management Committee.
Paul has advised on a considerable number of covenant-related matters across a wide range of business sectors – including in relation to highly complex corporate transactions, M&A and refinancing and restructuring. In 2012, Paul established what is now the Employer Covenant Practitioner Association and was an author of multiple papers and practice guidance published by the Association.
“BESTrustees’ 2025 is continuing to build on the trends we saw in 2024, which is to say strong sustainable growth in our business. We have won a large number of new scheme appointments over the last twelve months. That makes us an attractive home for skilled trustees who can apply their experience and expertise to the benefit of the members of the schemes we work with. Paul certainly fits that bill.”
Ann Rigby, Chair of BESTrustees
“To be joining BESTrustees at a time of such strong growth for the company – and pensions trusteeship in general – is a great move for me and I am really excited to get started. BESTrustees has an exceptional reputation in the industry and I am delighted to be joining.”
