BESTrustees is delighted to announce the appointment of Huw Evans to its Board from the beginning of April.
Since joining the firm in September 2014, Huw has built up a varied portfolio of clients. In his time with us he has guided two schemes to the closing stages of wind up, appointed new ‘full service’ providers to two other schemes, reached agreement on an overdue actuarial valuation, implemented fiduciary management on one scheme, is currently introducing LDI on two others and running a longevity swap feasibility study on another.
Prior to joining BESTrustees, Huw enjoyed a 20 year actuarial career culminating in 7 years at Towers Watson where he was an active member of Towers Watson’s teams specialising in pension scheme valuations, mortality, European pensions and professional affairs.
Huw holds the Pensions Management Institute’s Award in Pensions Trusteeship for both Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution pension schemes and is a member of the Association of Professional Pensions Trustees. He is a member of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries’ Regulation Board and a former chair of its Pensions Board and its Practising Certificates Committee.
Alan Pickering, Chairman of BESTrustees commented:
“We are delighted that Huw has accepted the invitation to join our Board. We are already benefiting from his experience and wise counsel as he gives generously of his time to help in the evolution of our firm. Having him on our Board will ensure that we can benefit from Huw’s acumen in the management of our firm and at each stage in the evolution of our growth strategy.”
