The team : Phil Tranter

Phil Tranter is a qualified actuary with over 30 years’ experience in the pensions industry.  Phil retired early from global actuaries and consultants Mercer, where he had spent his entire career, at the end of 2008. During his time with Mercer Phil held a number of national and local leadership positions. 

Phil also held over 20 Scheme Actuary appointments and was very active working with trustee boards in discussions relating to scheme funding, scheme mergers, buy-outs, sponsor covenants, investment strategy, pensions’ risk management and governance.  Phil’s experience includes meetings and discussions with the Pensions Regulator on scheme funding issues.  He is also the independent trustee to the pension scheme of a charity based in the North West of England.
