The team : Peter Styles (Deputy Chairman)
Peter has been involved with pensions both as an adviser and pension manager for over 30 years. In 1998 he took voluntary early retirement from Kingfisher where he had worked for 14 years. While there, he had group responsibility for senior executive reward and group benefits and acted as secretary to the Board Remuneration Committee. He also chaired both the Kingfisher trustee boards and their investment committees. Previously Peter had worked for Grand Metropolitan, BOC, Stewart Wrightson and Legal & General.
Peter represents BESTrustees as a trustee with Aviva, where he is chairman of the Investment Committee, Baxi Group where he is chairman, Experian Pension Scheme & Exerperian Money Purchase Scheme and Siemens Medical (formerly Bayer Diagnostics) where he is chairman. He is a Fellow of the Pensions Management Institute (PMI), for whom he has been an examiner. He has also served on the Council of the National Association of Pension Funds (NAPF) and its Investment Committee, both as the Council representative and subsequently as an elected member. Peter has spoken and chaired many courses for both the PMI and NAPF.
