The team : Ian Ferguson
Ian has worked in pensions for 40 years as a consulting actuary (he was Barnett Waddingham's senior Cheltenham Partner at the time of his retirement in 2004), company pensions manager (Unigate & Rank Xerox) and within life offices (Eagle Star & Barclays Life).
He is a strong advocate of good transparent governance of pension schemes and clear member communication.
Ian is a Board Member of The Pensions Advisory Service Ltd, having been an Adviser for over 12 years and has, in the past, served on committees of the Pensions Management Institute, Institute of Actuaries, National Association of Pension Funds and the Association of British Insurers.
Ian serves as a Trustee of Age Concern Gloucestershire and is a Trustee of the Institute of Physics Retirement Benefits Plan and the Royal Society Pension & Life Assurance Plan.
