The team : Heather McGuire
Heather joined BESTrustees in 2006.
She was also Group Pensions and CSR Manager for Associated British Ports (ABP), a position she held with them between April 2000 and August 2008. She now continues to represent ABP on some trustee bodies including industry-wide schemes, one of which she chairs on a three-yearly rotation basis with the member appointed trustees. Heather represents BESTrustees as a trustee on the British Coal Staff Superannuation Scheme and currently chairs the Administration and Benefits sub-committee.
She has considerable experience in the pensions industry having started with the National Water Council in Sheffield in 1978. Her experience covers private and public sector schemes, contracted-in and out, final salary and money purchase and small and large schemes. Heather’s pensions experience includes membership of various sub-committees including investment sub-committees considering such issues as asset/liability studies, selection and appointment of new investment managers, monitoring of manager performance and asset transitions.
Heather is a Fellow of Pensions Management Institute.
