The team : Clive Gilchrist
Clive has 35 years' experience of the pensions and investment industries and has been Managing Director of BESTrustees plc since its inception in 1992. His early career was in stock-broking and investment management including ten years as investment manager/Director at the Post Office S.S.F./PosTel (now Hermes).
He was a Member of the NAPF Council and Investment Committee for many years including two years as Investment Chairman and has also chaired the Pension Committee of The Association of Corporate Trustees.
Clive has served on a number of City and industry bodies including the Take Over Panel, the Accounting Standards Board Financial Services Committee and the DTI Deregulation Task Force. He has been a non executive director of a number of public companies and sits on the advisory board of a property unit trust and on the boards of a number of European bond funds.
Clive who is a Fellow of the Securities and Investment Institute and an Associate of the Society of Investment Professionals, speaks regularly at pension/investment conferences. He is frequently quoted in the pensions and business press and has a regular guest column in 'Pensions Week'.
