Supporting best practice

BESTrustees is an active member of the National Association of Pension Funds (NAPF) and of The Association of Corporate Trustees (TACT). Among our directors and associates we number four ex-NAPF Chairmen and two ex-Chairmen of the NAPF Investment Committee.

BESTrustees was one of the founding members of the Independent Pension Trustee Group (IPTG) and helped to develop its code of practice. We were the only firm of independent trustees to enrol all associates and directors as members of the IPTG in its first year.

As a founder member of the IPTG we support its code of conduct and adhere to its standards. In addition, much of our business is spent dealing with very large public companies that frequently have their own standards, to which we adhere.

While we do consider it appropriate for us to offer commercial trustee training courses, we are happy to advise on the suitability of the training available and to provide speakers for clients' training sessions. We frequently provide speakers for pension and investment seminars and conferences and contribute articles to industry publications, including a regular column in Pensions Week.
